| This is the old coach house at Ford park in Ulverston, Cumbria where Colin works as sound engineer and studio manager. The Studio is a 24 track digital and also a 16 track analouge, with an old Allen and Heath mixing desk. The Studio is also used as a rehearsal studio by local bands and at present we have over 20 bands a week who practice here. There is a PA system, drum kit, and guitar and bass amps as well as an old Hammond and piano. |
Colin was a professional musician in London in the 70's and was a signed writer with EMI and recorded for
Deep Purple,s record label, Purple records. He made a few singles which
graced the lower reaches of the charts and played gigs all over Europe
and the UK, once playing at the Star Club in Hamburg and The Cavern in
Liverpool following in the footsteps of The Beatles. After 15
years living in the centre in the music capital of the world Colin
returned to his roots and opened a recording studio in Ulverston.
Southlake studio recorded most of the local bands throughout the 90's.
The studio closed in 2002 and Colin moved to Ford Park to develop the
facilities that are now THE COACH HOUSE Studio. |
